Colin James

STAMMERER IN OUR MIDST

Listen to Audio Version.

Trails in a mossy wood.
Here mushrooms grow on tables.
Moving the chairs back purposefully
then covering them in oilcloth
before making love on the soft earth.
No witnesses just paperwork.
Chainsaws having cut a path of pleasure
through this amnesty before.
Now, the new growth capitulates.

Colin James has a chapbook of poetry A Thoroughness Not Deprived of Absurdity from Pskis Porch Press.
